Nu-Calgon 61308 A/C Drain Sucker KitCleanAir# CADS1A/C condensate drain pan overflows are a very common and costly service problem. The overflows are caused by slime and sludge that builds up and clogs the drain line. The A/C Drain Sucker quickly removes the clog and excess water, resolving the overflow problem. The kit also includes PurCool® Shock Tablets to clean and treat the remaining slime and sludge in the pan and lines, as well as a PurCool® Pan Strip to provide months of preventive treatment and free flowing drains.
Directions
To Suction a Clogged Condensate Drain:
- Using the special black connector fittings, connect the two gray hoses to the top (suction) and bottom (discharge) fittings on the drain sucker pump body making sure to push the gray hose snugly into the pump fitting and then slide the black connector fitting tightly over the hose and pump fitting.
- Connect the barbed plastic fitting on the 3/4” PVC coupling to the other end of the gray hose that is connected to the top (suction) fitting of the pump body.
- Slip the 3/4” PVC coupling over the 3/4” PVC condensate drain outlet where it terminates.
- Set the outlet of the discharge (bottom) hose where it can safely discharge water.
- Begin pumping to remove clog and excess condensate water.
To Blow-Out a Clogged Condensate Drain Pan:
- Connect hoses to the pump body as described above.
- Connect the outlet of the gray hose from the pump bottom (discharge) to the plastic barbed fitting on the black rubber cone fitting.
- Push the black rubber cone fitting snugly into 3/4” PVC condensate drain outlet where it terminates.
- Begin pumping to build pressure and break up clog.
- This procedure can also be done from the condensate drain pan at the A/C unit.
Cleaning & Treating A/C Condensate Drain Pans:
Once drain clogs are cleared, use the tablets from the PurCool Shock Pack to clean and treat the fouled drain pan.
